Planned Network Maintenance – Sunday, 14th September – Nigeria

  • 11:19am

Hello,

We would like to inform you of a scheduled network maintenance in our Lagos, Nigeria location on Sunday, 14th September 2025 from 12PM WAT.

This maintenance is necessary to replace a network device that has been identified as the source of a hardware bug impacting IPv6 traffic, resulting in higher latency and occasional packet loss. Together with our upstream provider and hardware vendor, we have confirmed the issue, and the affected device will now need to be replaced and returned to the vendor for further analysis.

What to Expect:

  • Services in Nigeria may be unavailable/unstable for up to 5 hours.

  • There may be periods of instability with multiple interruptions as the new device is deployed and optimised.

  • Only network connectivity will be affected. Servers themselves will not be touched and will retain their state once connectivity is restored.

Data Integrity:

  • We take daily backups of all servers as part of our business continuity plan.

  • As a precaution, we encourage you to ensure you have your own personal backups of sensitive and important data.

  • Data is expected to remain intact during this time and will not be affected by the work being carried out.

Updates:
We will provide real-time updates on our Status Page throughout the process, including:

  • When the maintenance begins

  • Any unexpected delays

  • Confirmation once the work is completed

We appreciate your patience as we complete this important hardware refresh to restore IPv6 performance and improve long-term network reliability.

Thank you for your continued trust.

Kind regards,
SiteHUB Agency Team
