Our NAT (Network Address Translation) VPS solutions are an integral component of our budget-friendly VPS line. These offerings allow clients to host HTTP/HTTPS services or various TCP services on a private IP address without the necessity for a public IP. This arrangement provides customers with access to their VPS at a significantly reduced cost compared to standard VPS options, as our NAT VPS do not come with a dedicated IP; instead, they connect to the internet through a NAT configuration linked to the host IP.
Maximize your project potential without stretching your budget by leveraging a NAT VPS solution. We understand that budgetary limitations should not hinder your creative endeavors. Therefore, our economical VPS hosting solutions empower you to actualize your ideas without incurring excessive expenses, creating an ideal platform for your upcoming projects.
While your VPS will possess full internet functionality, it will not be immediately discoverable from outside the local network. This can be managed via your VPS platform to forward a port to your VPS that will map your private IP to a dedicated port, enabling you to host websites, remote databases, storage servers, or simply providing a secure and isolated environment to develop new skills.
To access a NAT VPS via SSH, a designated port (for example, port 8000) must be assigned to you. You can use the following command to access your server and be prompted for your shell user’s password:
ssh root@<host-ip> -p 8000
Please ensure you consult our support team for proper configuration before attempting to remotely access your NAT VPS, as the necessary setups may not yet be in place.
There are numerous applications for a NAT VPS, including:
Private VPN Server
Establish your own private VPN using popular methods such as OpenVPN or Wireguard, with dual stack IPv4+IPv6 connectivity.
Personal Sites
Host a comprehensive website using any CMS (e.g., WordPress, Ghost) through port forwarding, facilitating domain to IP translation. Our NAT VPS website serves as an example of a site hosted on our complimentary free web hosting, which is itself supported by a NAT server.
