How to connect to the HA database Print

  • 0

When you sign up for a HA web hosting plan—or if we’ve had a pre-purchase conversation through live chat, Discord, Teams, or Google Meet—we’ll set up a time to help you migrate your site, unless you’re starting fresh with a new one.

If you’re setting up a new site, the process will be straightforward. We’ll connect everything before you start building, and we’ll provide you with the URL for phpMyAdmin and your login credentials once that’s done.

Should you need a migration, we’ll arrange this for off-peak hours to minimize any impact on your site. We’ll handle the database connection during the final preparations for the transition.

Once the migration is complete, we’ll give you the go-ahead to update your DNS A and AAAA records. If you plan to use our nameservers, it’s recommended to change the A record first and allow it to cache before switching the nameservers. This way, any outdated records will continue pointing to our servers during the propagation period.

Be sure that all DNS entries are also migrated as part of the nameserver change.
